We all share the same boat.

We all share the same boat

This day, this week, this month or perhaps all your life you have been asking yourself, why me?
With this why comes a thought that its only me that is suffering, its only me that is alone and miserable but, it is far from what the reality is.
The truth is, everyone on this planet has or will experience whatever you are feeling today. Nothing that has happened to you is unique in nature.
Loosing someone, feeling depressed, not getting what you want, being betrayed. All of this and more has been part of human existence since the beginning.

Circling back to the Why?
Your brain was developed to hunt and survive in the initial days of mankind. Though the brain has evolved making you who you are today but, the foundation is still to survive and not live.
Thus, in this survival mode you are always hunting for things that are not meant to make you happy rather you are looking for evidences that support your thought of being unloved and rejected so that you can live in the victim mode and try to survive.
The irony here is, that you are not unloved or rejected by the people or the universe, you are rejected by your own subconscious, because this is what you have learned all your life, to live as per the expectations of others, as per the rules and norms of the society. To feel sad in a situation and angry in the other but, it is not meant to be like that. Not everyone needs to feel or react to a certain situation in the same pattern, but we do because this is what we have been molded into.

Ask yourself is it worth it?
Ask yourself why am I letting this happen to myself? I and only I should be responsible for what happens in my life. The only thing that is constant is change and I need to be a part of it.

  1. Awesome analysis Juhi! I especially like the thought that since we were created with an instinct to survive through hunting, even after all this mammoth evolution, this instinct is primal and still valid. Since, we don't need to hunt animals for feeling powerful, we now hunt for ideas that make us feel victimised, and overcoming them would remind us of our power.

A puissant thought, conveyed simply and effectively.
