The need to impress

Our friends, parents, teachers, colleagues, seniors, virtual friends and every other person we meet, there is always a need to impress them. To make them feel fond of us. We try and try, each day to do something that interests others, that will make them feel good about us. What we forget is, that it’s not others that need to be impressed. It is your own self. How can you make others feel good or impressed about you when you yourself are struggling to feel happy or at peace? In this technologically driven world, we are always looking for others to validate us. Stamp us liked on social media, follow us and so on. Remember that evening in the office when you had finished all your work and wanted to head home but, instead went out with your boss for drinks. Reached home late and were feeling guilty to have not spent the time with your loved ones instead? Or the other day when were in a family gathering on a pre-approved holiday but, kept answering to calls and respondin...

Rock Bottom

Life is unpredictable. Its challenging, rough, and for sure something we hadn’t pictured for ourselves. Sometimes there are moments that make us question our presence and we hardly know what we are doing where we are going and what is next (if at all we see anything at that point). We call it, Rock Bottom. Thousands of years ago dinosaurs were extinct because they couldn’t adapt to the changing weather. They resisted change and all of them, thousands of them gone. Died. The same is with us. We must change, adapt to whatever is coming next. To whatever is happening now. If we resist, we usually end up in places and situations where we feel like sinking or rather falling from the sky. In such situations we only need to ask ourselves, is this what I want? Is this what I wished for myself. The answer is a 100% NO. Let me tell you a secret, a formula that will help you but, only if you believe in it. It is, “No one can change except you”. Cliché, right? But, jus...

Purpose of you

You were chosen to be born from a billion options. You are unique and different and so is your purpose. Its different for everyone. Some people find their purpose with ease and some take a lifetime to find one. There isn’t any formula to get to your purpose but, there is a voice inside you which makes you feel happy or sad at times. Even when there is a situation that is not in your favor, you sometimes feel that it happened for the right reason. That it is good in the longer run. That’s the voice talking. So, things that make you feel happy, where time stops, and you can go on for hours without feeling tired is the thing you are meant for. Hence, in order to find your purpose and passion you need to ask yourself a few questions as asked by the famous motivational speaker Jay Shetty. ·          What do I love doing? ·          What am I best at? ·       ...

Life is tough and so are you.

You have gone through so much and yet have always surfaced as a champion. The amount of work that you do or the amount of pressure that you take only makes you stronger each time. Let life throw stuff on you, its okay, its natural. The important thing here is to keep moving. I don’t want you to take a leap at once, all I want for you is to take the first step. Take a step towards a better you, take step towards a beautiful you, take step towards a humble you, take step in the direction that leads you towards the real you. Stop pretending to be someone you are not. You are not a soft toy that can break on one stretch. You are a metal ball that has the power and strength to make an impact. You don’t need to be too hard on yourself. Its life let it take its course. You were chosen to be born from a billion options, you endured the pain of labor with your mother, there is no reason for you to feel weak at this point. It is just a phase and you are capable enough to take that on...
